January 20, 2015, Manila -The Asian Poker Tour (APT) has announced it will open the first APT Poker Room at the Manila Pavilion Casino Filipino in Ermita, Manila, Philippines, before the end of. Casinos in the Philippines are starting to offer poker tables and poker rooms to poker players in many of the casinos. Poker players will find the poker scene in the Philippines to be spread about in many areas, but the best games can be found at the new Solaire High Stakes Poker Room, Resorts World Manila, Metro Card Club and Masters Poker Club. The Asian Poker Tour (APT) also has regular stops here with 3 major festivals taking place here in 2012. This covers only some of the major poker tournaments held here. Pretty much every local card room has advertisements for the major poker series they are involved in. Also note that this is just referring to majors. Regional tournament series including Pokerstars Megastack, Pokerstars APPT, the Asian Poker Tour and others also are hosted in Manila. Usually there is one tournament series for about 10 days hosted each month. How big are the games? Manila has it all!

The nearest airport is Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, which is roughly 8km from City centre of Manila. The airport operates daily flights to and from most of the world’s largest cities, and PokerStars Travel can arrange a transfer for you from the airport to your Hotel or Okada Manila. There is also metered taxi, coupon fixed rate taxi and airport buses connecting from the Airport to Manila City Centre.
Be aware that there are four terminals in Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport and they are not connected to each other. Make sure you know which terminal your flight arrives or departs.
